Best Podcasts to Listen to While Cleaning

Pop in some headphones or turn the volume up and let your housework time become your new not-least-favorite time!

I heard an old friend, many years ago, mention his time spent listening to podcasts, and I thought to myself, "Wow. What a dreadful, boring use of your precious moments!" I couldn't imagine enjoying a podcast. Ever. Turns out I had no idea that podcasts come in all shapes and sizes, with a vast array of personalities and topics. Now that I've found the right stations, it's one of my favorite parts of each day.

“Turns out I had no idea that podcasts come in all shapes and sizes, with a vast array of personalities and topics.”

Here's the deal - we're all busy. But we all have mundane tasks to do throughout the day that require virtually no thought, and #podcasts are an incredible way to pass the time and grow your mind. And for all of you who are with young children all day - don't underestimate the wonderful, joyous power of listening to ADULTS conversing. Even if it's a recording.

My Top 3 Podcasts

Happier with Gretchen Rubin

Gretchen Rubin and her sister, Elizabeth Craft, give practical tips and advice for how to make your life happier. Every episode has segments in which they discuss different ways that you can instantly start improving your daily life. I absolutely love how easy it is to listen to this show, and its multiple segments keep things moving along so I don't lose my train of thought as I follow along. Perfect for while I'm applying makeup or unloading the dishwasher.

The Enneagram Journey

Maybe you love the enneagram, maybe you don't, but I highly recommend this podcast. Suzanne Stabile hosts this show along with her son, Joel, and they both have soothing voices that are very calming to my restless brain. But (very important) I do not mean *sleepy voices.* We all know those shows.... You won't fall asleep here, but if your mind races like mine does, this show is very relaxing (and interesting)! I often listen while I clean the kitchen after dinner.

RISE podcast

Sometimes I just need some motivation, and Rachel Hollis is incredibly gifted at motivating people. She discusses a mixture of personal life tools, business tools, but most of all I find this show to be about mindset. This show is the first thing that helped me realize that I'm stronger and more capable than I think, and has helped me to embrace the journey to a better and better version of who I've always been. I listen to this one on walks, while cleaning the bathroom, and while I cook.

Do you have any favorite podcasts that I should check out? I would love to hear about them and add them to my list!
